If you buy a ticket to Hawaii, you will end up on the island of Oahu. Pearl Harbor is also on Oahu. Hawaii is a generic term for all of the islands called the Hawaiian Islands including the "Big Island" of Hawaii. There are other naming conventions for towns that are also confusing. The highway that circles Oahu is about 100 miles and can easily consume a full day of travel with a few stops.
